I have a focus to the more alternative style in design. I have a background and passion for tattoos, so a lot of my work has that feel. I am first an foremost an illustrator and really enjoy branding. I have also been running my own freelance business for the past 2 years and have been lucky enough to help a number of different types of clients and small businesses. For me, I would love to continue freelancing and working independently but contracting myself out to studios in Perth would be fantastic.
I plan to do another year of study next year at Curtin to get my degree in Creative Advertising and Graphics. I think it would be a great way for me to build relationships, help with networking and help me refine my skills as a designer.
Working in a small studio would suit me and in the future I would like to be able to morph my love of tattooing and running a studio to life. I hope to travel and take my career with me. I really have enjoyed my 4 years at TAFE and having such amazing, supportive lecturers has developed a passion to teach in the future too. I have completed a Cert IV of Training and Assessment this year in hopes of being able to pick up lecturing work in the future.
But at this point one step at a time, I will keep watching tutorials to learn all the new tricks in my trade, enroll into Uni to refine my skills even further and continue focusing on my business to become an all round better designer!
