My two passions in life are being creative and connecting with other people. Graphic design allows me to unite these two things, working with others and helping through the production of beautiful, creative and personalised design.
Growing up within a migrant family in outer Melbourne, Victoria, my early working life saw me become a senior accountant in the finance sector. It was not until my early 30s that a recognition of my love for art and craft, along with the stifling effect of my chosen career, led to a sea change and the start of my journey into graphic design.
In 2014, I was lucky enough to spend a year in Barcelona, Spain surrounded by rich cultural and artistic diversity. When I was not Interning at local design studio Artimana I would be travelling through europe on long weekends or experiment with printmaking techniques (and practising my Spanglish) at a printmaking and co working space Print Workers Barcelona.
This year, enrolling in the Advanced diploma at North Metropolitan TAFE has been a great way for me to connect with the design community in Perth and get to know my new home town. After graduating, I’m really looking forward to working alongside and learning from other experienced graphic designers and art directors. When I’m not studying, you will find me freelancing from my hot desk in fSpace Fremantle or walking my dog Bones at South Beach.
